DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS

If you intend to carry out development on your land, usually by either subdividing blocks or erecting a building, you must first obtain approval by Planning Permit from your local municipal Council.

The total development may need to include input from a surveyor, a geologist, an engineer, a solicitor, an architect, or other allied professionals as considered necessary.

The relevant planning legislation can be found in Council planning schemes and in the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993.
